Welcome to the DBA!

The Delaware Beekeepers Association’s mission is to educate members and the public about the importance of honeybees, their role in the pollination of plant species, and the joys and benefits of beekeeping.

Founded in 1936, the D.B.A. is dedicated to beekeeper education as well as helping identify and address local beekeepers’ challenges. By joining the D.B.A. you can keep up to date on the latest methods and techniques to help you enjoy beekeeping as a business or hobby. You will be joining an enthusiastic group of friendly folks who share an interest in beekeeping.

One of the ways the Delaware Beekeepers Association serves the beekeeping community is by offering free monthly educational meetings focused on the art and science of successful beekeeping.
