Volunteers needed for State Fair DBA booth 7/22 - 7/31

We are looking for volunteers to help the Delaware Beekeepers Association (DBA) by staffing the booth again this year at the 2010 Delaware State Fair.

The Fair offers a fun opportunity for members of the Delaware Beekeepers Association to educate members and the public about the importance of honeybees, their role in the pollination of plant species, and the joys and benefits of beekeeping.

Please e-mail Bill Leitzinger as soon as possible to let him know your interest in volunteering. Bill’s new e-mail address is NCCBeekeepers@gmail.com.

Click HERE for a look at the Volunteer Schedule so that you can note the time(s) that you would like to work the booth. The time slots fill up fast, and are reserved on a first-come-first served basis for time slots, so please let Bill Leitzinger know as soon as possible when you would like to help out. Please give me ALL the possible time slots that you may be able to work. So in case your first choice is taken, I can put you in another time slot.

You may promote your own business during the time you are working (but not sell anything at the Fair), so feel free to bring business cards or promotional brochures.

If you volunteer, we will try and mail you tickets to enter the fair grounds free of charge. When tickets run out (there are only 20), the DBA will reimburse you after the Fair for the entrance fee costs you may have to pay to get into the Fair to help out at the DBA booth.

Hopefully, I will hear from you soon.
